SNAKE CAUSES BRIEF POWER OUTAGE NORTH OF BRENHAM MONDAY NIGHT

  

 

A snake at a substation led to a brief power outage north of Brenham, late Monday night.

According to Bluebonnet Electric Coop, power was out for less than an hour north of Brenham along State Highway 36, after a snake crawled into some equipment at the substation that served the area.

About 1600 homes were affected by the outage that occurred around 11:00 p.m.

Power was restored after less than an hour.
