UNITY THEATRE CANCELS SUMMER DRAMA CAMP

Unity Theatre has cancelled its annual Summer Drama Camp series, and with it the summer production of “Jack and the Beanstalk”.

In a statement Wednesday, Unity Theatre said the cancellation is to keep children, staff, teachers, and volunteers safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The non-profit theatre said, while the building may seem strangely quiet over the next couple of months, it looks forward to when the community can join together inside it once again.

Refunds are being issued this week for those that have already registered and paid for classes.

The theatre has cancelled all performances, classes, and events until further notice in keeping with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and health officials.

  1. I’d been waiting to hear about the summer acting camp as my son looks forward to it all year long. We were expecting to hear it would be canceled, but it’s still so very disappointing. We do understand the necessity of cancelling and look forward to summer of 2021.
