UWBV, LUMINANT TO DISTRIBUTE 4,000 FREE MASKS FRIDAY IN FRANKLIN

United Way of the Brazos Valley (UWBV) will once again be giving out free facemasks tomorrow at its third drive-thru distribution event tomorrow (Friday) morning in Franklin.

UWBV is partnering with Luminant to give away 4,000 free masks, including surgical masks provided by Robertson County Emergency Management, from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Pridgeon Center in Franklin, located at 351 Cooks Lane.

The free facemasks will be distributed in bundles of five.  There will be a limit of one mask bundle per car, while supplies last.

There is no cost, registration, or identification requirement to receive a free facemask bundle.  Residents do not need to leave their car to receive a bundle, as staff and volunteers will be on hand to pass bundles through the passenger window.

UWBV distributed approximately 16,000 facemasks during its previous distribution events in July.  Luminant is helping to coordinate local resources for tomorrow’s event, including recruiting volunteers to distribute the masks.
