WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY

Washington County Commissioners are expected to approve descriptions for new positions with EMS, when they meet Tuesday morning.

Commissioners are expected to approve the new posts in relation to the previously-approved helicopter agreement.

REACH Air Medical Services will reimburse the county for all salaries.

The program will not only provide air medical transport, but will also allow firefighting capabilities for rural grass fires.  The helicopter will also be fitted for search and rescue operations, including hoist rescue operations for water rescue.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, commissioners are expected to open bids for maintenance on the elevators at the courthouse and courthouse annex.

At their meeting on November 19th, commissioners rescinded their approval of a contract with Otis Elevator Company to provide labor and material for the elevator in the courthouse annex.

The commissioners are also expected to approve a number of bids for items for the Road and Bridge Department.

And, they’re also expected to give County Judge John Durrenberger authorization to sign an amendment to the contract for gasoline and diesel with Fleet Station.

The Washington Co. Commissioners Court meets Tuesday morning at 9:00 at the Washington County Courthouse.
