The Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo has announced their updated scholarship program applications are now available for interested students.

The applications are available online at BrazosValleyFair.com.

The Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo’s Educational Programs are a significant part of the fair’s goals of benefiting youth, supporting education, and facilitating better agricultural understanding.

All recipients of the scholarships must demonstrate academic potential, leadership and financial need.

In 2017, the Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo will award two, $1,500 General Scholarships to outstanding students who are seeking to earn a degree from an accredited college, university, or post-secondary institution.

In addition the Fair has added increased scholarships through their livestock department to exhibitors who enter the Junior Livestock Shows during the Fair.

Since the Fair’s first event in 2012 they have awarded over $30,000 in scholarship monies to qualified youth.

The Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo initially awarded a portion of their scholarships through the Texas 4-H Program. Now as the Fair has grown, they have expanded their in-house programs. This year all Scholarships will be awarded directly through the Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo Scholarship System.

Once again, applications are available online at: BrazosValleyFair.com.
