BRENHAM F.D. EXTINGUISHES VEHICLE FIRE ON S. CHAPPELL HILL ST.

  

The Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire this (Saturday) morning.

Around 1:40 this morning, responders were called out to 1107 South Chappell Hill Street to the site of a vehicle fire in the driveway, about five feet from the house.

Firefighters found the car fully engulfed in flames.  Units extinguished the fire, but the car was a total loss.  The fire is currently under investigation.

Friday night, at 9:15 p.m., the department was sent out to 2905 US Highway 290 West, to reports of a transportation incident with fluids on the roadway.  BFD units arrived to find a small leak from a 1992 Lexus car.

Personnel provided lighting for the scene and used a five-gallon bucket of dry absorbent to clean up the spill.
