TWO ARRESTED ON SEPARATE WEAPONS CHARGES

  

Two men were arrested Monday on a pair of separate weapons charges.

26-year old Armondo Prieto of Brenham was arrested after a traffic stop, Monday night at the intersection of Shady Lane and Walnut Hill Road.

Office Mickey Gressman pulled over Prieto, Monday night around 6:30.

Prieto was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.  A search also led to a charge of Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.

Prieto was taken into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail.

Brenham Police pulled over 27-year old Alvin Nicholas Townsend of Katy in the 900 block of Highway 290 West.

According to Corporal Jonathan Phipps, he could smell marijuana and a probable cause search turned up an illegal weapon.

Townsend was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
