BRENHAM CUB BAND ANNOUNCES UPCOMING PERFORMANCES

  

The Cub Band has a couple of important performances coming up that we would like to invite the public to come and see.

Both the Concert and Symphonic bands have done an outstanding job preparing exciting music to perform at contest this spring. Our Pre-UIL concert is next Monday night, April 13th, Concert Band starts at 6:15 and Symphonic Band at 7:00.

Also, UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest is this Tuesday, April 21, in the Brenham High School Auditorium. Concert Band performs at 10:00 AM and Symphonic Band performs at 6:00 PM.

After each group's performance, please follow them into the sight reading room. You will enjoy seeing the bands perform on the stage and watch the drama in the sight reading room. Each band has a brief time for explanation and then they perform a piece for the first time. It is exciting and normally very inspiring to see what smart talented young musicians can do when the pressure is on.

Many judges find it impressive to have family, faculty and friends follow the bands into sight reading. We would love to see you all there and support your students.

All performances are free and open to the public.
