NUMBER OF BURGLARIES IN BRENHAM ON THE RISE

  

Brenham Police are reporting that the number of home burglaries and car break-ins are on the rise in Brenham.

According to Angela Hahn with the Brenham Police Department, the number of the burglaries is up from last year, with twelve vehicles and eleven businesses and homes broken into across Brenham.

Hahn says that there seems to be a spike in these crimes during the day in the summer months when the kids are out of school, and that there may be gangs involved in these crimes.

Police are asking residents to report any suspicious activity to the police department.
