CITY COUNCIL TO HEAR PUBLIC DISCUSSION ON PROPOSED TAX RATE

  

The Brenham City Council will meet on Monday at 8am hear public discussion on the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2015 and ending September 30, 2016.

This budget will raise more total property taxes that last year’s budget by an estimated $207,149, which is approximately 3.87% higher than last year,

Of that amount, $75,540 is tax revenue to be raised from estimated new property tax added to the tax roll this year.

The Council will also discuss and possibly act upon an ordinance on its First Reading to adopt the Proposed Budget.

The City Council meets on the second floor of City Hall Council Chambers at 200 W Vulcan Street.
