WOMAN CHARGED WITH D.W.I. WITH CHILD IN VEHICLE
A Lee Co. woman faces a DWI charge after her arrest this weekend.
Sunday morning around 3:30, Cpl. Steven Eilert conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 36 and Blue Bell Road.
Eilert says when he approached the driver, he could smell the strong odor of alcohol. He also saw a young child in the car.
Eilert says the driver, 29-year old Maria Villanueva of Lincoln, appeared confused and was unable to perform a field sobriety test.
Villanueva is charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age.
