BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER GRANTING SPECIFIC USE PERMIT
Up for discussion at the Brenham City Council meeting this afternoon (Thursday) is the ratification of a contract related to the emergency purchase of a generator for the Lake Somerville Pump Station. Council will also consider the first reading granting a specific use permit to Grady Hardeman Jr. to allow for a church and related auxiliary uses at 515 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.
City Council will consider purchasing a shelving system for the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library and act on a bid for the purchase of a mechanical bar screen for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Several new city employees will be introduced during the meeting. Patrol Officers, Andrew Adams, Colin Godmintz, Eddie Martinez, and Kejan Mehlhorn-Hock. Also being introduced will be the Water Treatment Plant Manager, Matthew Monfreda and Assistant City Manager, Ryan Rapelye.
The City Council will discuss a noise variance request from the Washington County Bar Association for the reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Washington County Courthouse on July, 1st from 7:30am to 8:30am. A second noise variance request will be discussed from Don and Margarett Davis for a birthday party on June 18th at 800 Pleasantview from 10:00am to 9:00pm.
Council will hear a presentation of a strategic plan for the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library and also give an update on storm assessment and recovery.
The Brenham City Council will meet this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:00pm on the second floor of City Hall.
