NAVASOTA TO CELEBRATE 150 YEARS OF INCORPORATION

  

The City of Navasota will be celebrating 150 years of incorporation this year.

As part of the celebration, Navasota will hold a day full of fun events on Saturday, October 22nd. There will be multiple vendors open throughout the day as well as Union Pacific mini train rides, church tours and a community picnic on the lawn of the Municipal Building.

There will be musical performances by The Navasota Music Study Club and The Star of Texas Dulcimers in the Municipal Building lobby. The celebration will also feature music from Lil Rob and the Johnny Sacks.

The Virgil Garvin Vintage Baseball game will take place at 3 p.m. on October 22nd and is open to everyone wishing to participate. At 5 p.m., there will be a showing of The Maltese Falcon at Miller’s Theatre.

As part of the celebration, there will be over 80 artists displaying and selling art on the second floor of 101 E. Washington Avenue. The art exhibit will be open October 15th, 16th 22nd, and 23rd.
