WASHINGTON COUNTY RESIDENTS SEE INCREASE IN TAX STATEMENTS

  

Many residents of Washington County are seeing an increase in their tax statements this year.propertytax

The Washington County Tax Appraisal District has sent out property tax bills to residents this week. Willy Dillworth, the county’s Chief Tax appraisers, says there’s been an increase this year:

 

According to documents released by Dilworth, the average home in Washington County has a value of $170,223. A home of that value in the Brenham Independent School District will pay an average of $2,931.58 in taxes.

The average home in the City of Brenham costs $151,229. Total taxes paid on a property of that value will be $3,371.04.
