BISD BOARD TO DISCUSS KRAUSE REMODEL GRANT

The Brenham ISD will hold a Board of Trustees meeting on Monday to discuss a program that could provide money to help Kruse Elementary with maintenance and electrical repairs.

According to Paul Aschenbeck, the Superintendent of Operations for Brenham ISD, the school board will discuss a Qualified Zone Academy Bond (QZAB). The QZAB allows school districts to borrow money at no or nominal interest costs. The money obtained by the QZAB would be used for a remodeling of Krause Elementary. Aschenbeck says Krause Elementary will be 30-years-old this year and is in desperate need of mechanical and electrical work.

During the meeting, the school board will also discuss the possible purchase of Brenham High School band uniforms.

The Brenham ISD Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. in lecture rooms 111 and 113 at Brenham High School.
