BLINN FOUNDATION OFFERS CHANCE TO PURCHASE COMMEMORATIVE BRICKS

The Blinn College Foundation is inviting friends and alumni to become a permanent part of a new landmark on the Blinn College-Brenham Campus.kruse-rec-front

The Foundation’s new fundraiser offers the opportunity to have a special message engraved on a paver brick that will be installed at the entrance to the College’s new Kruse Center. These individualized bricks will raise funds for the Kruse Center and provide local individuals, groups, clubs, and businesses the opportunity to make their mark on this facility.

Currently under construction on the Blinn-Brenham Campus and scheduled to open in Fall 2017, the Kruse Center will enhance the active lives of students and invigorate Blinn’s campus community. The community, sports teams, and student organizations all will utilize to the facility.

The Kruse Center will include an event arena, weight and cardio room, men's and women's locker rooms, indoor track, meeting and multipurpose rooms, and a Pirate's Den snack bar. The facility was made possible with the support of a generous gift from siblings Mildred Kruse Bridges, Evelyn Ann Kruse, Ed. Kruse and his wife Evelyn, and Howard Kruse and his wife Verlin in memory of their parents, E.F. and Bertha Kruse.

Dr. Kyle Merten, Director of Alumni Relations, says the paver bricks provide an opportunity for Blinn friends and neighbors to play a part welcoming thousands of visitors to the Kruse Center for years to come.

Through April 1, 2017, commemorative 4”x8” bricks will be available for $150, and 8”x8” bricks are available for $300. Priority brick placement will be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis.
