GRIMES CO. ‘SELF-DEFENSE’ SHOOTING UNDER INVESTIGATION

  

Grimes County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of a county man.

The suspected shooter is the man's girlfriend.

Sheriff Don Sowell says the call to the residence on FM 224 near Anderson came in just before 8:00 p.m. Friday.

The caller said she had shot her boyfriend in the chest in self-defense, during a domestic dispute.

First responders tried to aid the man, but he was pronounced dead at the home.

The shooter was questioned on the scene, then was taken to the Grimes County Sheriff's Office for additional questioning. No arrest has been made.

The identities of the shooter and the victim have not been released.
