BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON MARIJUANA/WEAPON CHARGES

A Brenham man has been arrested on marijuana and gun charges.
21-year old Jason Lee Montgomery is charged with Possession of Marijuana and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon after a traffic stop late Friday afternoon.
Just before 5:00 p.m., Cpl. Steven Eilert conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of South Day.
Eilert says he could smell alcohol and marijuana coming from Montgomery’s vehicle.
When the Montgomery stepped out of the vehicle, Eilert says he could see a pistol in between the driver seat and center console.
During a search, he also found marijuana.
