PRAIRIE VIEW A&M TO HOST 16 LAND-GRANT UNIVERSITIES

  

Prairie View A&M University is hosting over 16 Land-Grant universities from across the nation to the 2nd Annual 1890’s Communications Summit this Wednesday.

This year the summit will discuss what legislature, research and outreach from Washington, DC affects the nation in preserving its food supply and how to communicate this effectively to the nation’s stakeholders.

The Communications Summit is committed to providing support to all land-grant universities communications units, as they serve their perspective states.  Guests include representatives from Southern University, Lincoln University, Tennessee State University, Florida A&M University and Delaware State University. Prairie View A&M University is the largest of all 1890 land-grant universities. The Director of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Dr. Sonny Ramaswamy, will be guest speaker.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Carden-Waller Extension Building on the PVAMU campus.
