SWEET-TOWN DOWNTOWN GINGERBREAD AUCTION RAISES OVER $6,500
The Sweet-town Downtown Gingerbread Tour and Auction raised a total of $6,650 during the live and silent auction held last (Tuesday) night.
Susan Cantey was the highest bidder, donating $1,000 to the auction for two houses.
The two highest bid homes were made by St. Paul’s 1st and 4th grade classes and Zionsville 4-H. The St. Paul’s gingerbread house went home with Cantey for $700. The Zionsville 4-H house went to South Texas Tack for $700. Other houses that were auctioned off include:
- Alexis Branton for Kountry Boys Sausage's gingerbread home bought by Arlen Thielemann for $225
- Logan Boeker’s gingerbread home bought by Brenham National Bank for $225
- Seidel Schroeder’s gingerbread home bought by Brenham Collision for $550
- Jordan and Sierra Kelm’s gingerbread home bought by Appel Ford for $275
- Terry Meaux’s gingerbread home bought by Tres Chic for $475
- Merrick Bradford’s gingerbread home bought by Barbara Powell and Susan Cantey for $300
- Anissa Talmore’s gingerbread house was bought by Mayor Tate $400
- LaRoche Dentistry’s gingerbread house was bought by Thielemann Construction for $500
- Clay Boeker’s gingerbread house was bought by Brenham National Bank for $325
- Lauren Herzog and Jaycee Seago’s gingerbread home was bought by Eckermann Sausage for $400
- Washington on the Brazos Gift Shop gingerbread home was bought by Appel Ford
- Altman Denistry’s home was bought by Lannie Mecom for $75
- Dona Lynn’s Unique Gifts gingerbread home was bought by Kathy Emmett for $25
- Austin Morisak’s home was bought by Lori Sadler for $100
- Home Sweet Farm was bought by Austin for $10
- Melissa McCaghren had two Christmas pendants- one sold to Heather Thielemann for $100 and the other sold to Twila Tate for $15
Alexander Oil donated an additional $300 and D Bar B Sausage donated $250. All the funds raised from the event will go to downtown Brenham improvement projects.
