LOBOS LOCATES 25 POUNDS OF MARIJUANA HIDDEN IN VEHICLE
Fayette County Sheriff’s K-9 Lobos has made another drug bust, discovering a 25 pound bundle of marijuana during a traffic stop Wednesday morning.
Just before 11 a.m. Sgt. Thumann pulled over 54-year-old Celerina Lopez Rosa, of Roma, for a traffic violation on I-10. Thumann said the driver had many criminal indicators including some discrepancies in his travel destination.
After consent was given to search the vehicle, Thumann observed a 5 gallon bucket used for oil in the back of Rosa’s truck. Lobos alerted Thumann that there were drugs in the bucket and further investigation uncovered a 25 pound bundle of marijuana hidden inside of it.
Rosa was taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center where he was charged with possession of marijuana.
Lobos, keep up that valuable work! You are appreciated.
