BRENHAM FIRE CHIEF URGES CHRISTMAS TREE SAFETY
Brenham Fire Chief Ricky Boeker is offering some Christmas tree safety tips to make sure people have a fun and safe holiday season.
Boeker says a small fire that spreads to a Christmas tree can grow large very quickly, so it is important to consider tree safety.
He urges people to choose a tree with fresh, green needles that do not fall off when touched. When placing a tree, make sure it is at least three feet away from any heat source, like fireplaces, radiators, candles, heat vents or lights. For more tips, click the image below to enlarge it.
