TWO BRENHAM TEENS ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY
Two Brenham teenagers have been arrested after a burglary investigation led the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to a pawn shop in Bryan.
According to Sheriff Otto Hanak, on Wednesday evening, December 7th, deputies responded to a burglary call in the 8000 block of Boehnemann Road. The property owner told deputies that they had been away from their residence for a brief period of time and when they returned they discovered that they had been a burglary victim. Among the items stolen were two Play Station gaming consoles.
Sheriff’s Office Investigators located one of the Play Stations at a pawn shop in Bryan. Further investigation revealed that the gaming consoles had been sold to the pawn shop on the same date of the burglary by 18-year-old Darius Alexander Toliver and 18-year-old Eric Gutierrez, both of Brenham.
Arrest warrants were requested and issued by Justice of the Peace Douglas Zwiener. Toliver and Gutierrez were arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation and are currently incarcerated in the Washington County Jail. Toliver’s bond is set at $100,000.00 with the bond of Gutierrez’s not yet determined.
