LOCAL MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON

A Brenham man has been sentenced to five years in prison for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
36-year old Jason Dewayne Randle was sentenced in 21st District Court after pleading guilty, Thursday.
Randle was also sentenced to five years on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The sentences will run concurrently.
Also in 21st District Court:
27-year old Rolando C. Perez, of Austin was placed on eight years’ probation for fraud, a second-degree felony. Perez was also fined $2,000 and ordered to perform 250 hours of community service.
Perez was also placed on five years probation for credit/debit card abuse.
22-year old Hector Martinez-Espino of Brenham, was placed on 10 years’ probation for burglary of a habitation. He was also fined $2,000 and ordered to spend 30 days in the Washington County jail.
And, 40-year old Sergio G. Nieto of Del Valle, was placed on three years’ probation for driving while intoxicated with a child under age 15.
Nieto was also ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and serve three days in the Washington County jail. His driver’s license was also suspended for a length of time to be determined by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
