BLINN BOARD TO DISCUSS ‘STRATEGIC PLAN’ NEXT TUESDAY
The Blinn Board of Trustees will meet next Tuesday, March 21st to consider the proposed vision, core values, and goals for the 2017-2020 strategic plan.
“A strong strategic plan lays the roadmap for Blinn’s continued success as one of the premier community colleges in Texas,” said Dr. Mary Hensley, District President/CEO. “A clear vision for the future benefits Blinn students, employees, and the communities we serve.”
Blinn sought community input on the strategic plan via an online survey in January.
Utilizing feedback from faculty, staff, students, and the community, Blinn’s Strategic Planning Steering Committee has develop priorities, goals, and measurable objectives for 2017-20- which will be presented to the Board of Trustees.
Also on the agenda:
- Authorize administrators to seek bids for furniture, concession equipment, fitness equipment, and technology equipment for the new Kruse Center
- The board will discuss authorizing administrators to negotiate bids for health clinic services on the Brenham and Bryan campuses
- Consider authorizing administrators to negotiate an agreement with Bleyl and Associates for the design and construction of asphalt parking and streets on the Bryan campus
- The board will discuss approving tuition and fees for the 2017-2018 fiscal year
