ZAPP HALL PRESENTS $2,500 CHECK TO FAYETTE CO. SHERIFF’S MEMORIAL SOCIETY
Zapp Hall, the antique show hotspot and host of the renowned Junk Gypsy Prom, presented a donation of $2,500 to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Memorial & Benevolent Society.
Zapp Hall hosted a New Year’s Eve Party that was attended by hundreds of Fayette County residents and their families. Proceeds from that celebration were presented to Sheriff’s deputies that were serving in their public safety role during the spring 2017 antique show.
The Fayette County Sheriff's Memorial & Benevolent Society, a nonprofit organization, has served sheriff’s deputies, office employees and their families since its creation in 2010. The Society assists deputy and employee families in cases of natural disasters, crime, or other tragedies that might occur during the line of duty. Additionally, the Society engages in community outreach, reassuring the citizens of Fayette County of their unrelenting work to ensure public safety.
“We are blessed to have the support of the Sheriff’s Office throughout the year, and it was a pleasure to host a great party to support Sheriff’s deputies and their families,” said Michael Lehane, representative for the family who owns and operates Zapp Hall.
“There is no better time to present a check to the Society than at the antique show, where the Sheriff’s department goes above and beyond to serve Fayette County residents and thousands of tourists who come to enjoy the show.”
“Regularly Michael or his family invite us to enjoy a free meal or soft drink at Zapp Hall while we serve in Warrenton,” said Sergeant Ron Naumann. “It means a lot to me and all other deputies and employees of the Fayette County Sheriff’s office that Zapp Hall decided to surprise us that busy day with such a generous donation.”
It was also announced that the New Year’s Eve celebration will be held again this year at Zapp Hall. Donations to the Society can be arranged by contacting the Sheriff’s office at 979-968-5856 or by registering for vents such as the Fayette County Sheriff Sporting Clay Shoot, to be held on August 19, 2017.
