LEMAN ANNOUNCES RUN FOR STATE HOUSE
Grimes County Judge Ben Leman is stepping down to run for State Representative.
Leman has announced he will run for the District-13 Texas House seat.
State Representative Leighton Schubert announced Thursday, he would not seek re-election.
Leman subsequently resigned as county judge to begin his candidacy.
Leman was a founding member of Texans Against High-Speed Rail and says he will continue to serve as chairman.
Monday is the final day to register for next March's primaries.
