CLOSING ARGUMENTS TODAY IN BLINN STUDENT MURDER CASE

Closing arguments will be heard this (Friday) morning in Bryan in the trial involving the murder of a Blinn College Student.
Both the defense and prosecution rested their cases Thursday in the trial of 42 year old Ronald McNeil, charged in the shooting death of 19 year old Lacie LaRose. LaRose, who was a student at Blinn, was attending a graduation party in May of 2015 when gunfire erupted. LaRose was killed, and two others were injured.
The jury in the 85th District Court in Bryan is expected to begin deliberating the case this (Friday) afternoon. McNeil has been held in the Brazos County jail on a $500,000 bond since he was arrested in 2015. If convicted, he could be sentenced to 15 to 99 years in prison due to a prior felony conviction.
