MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET COMING TO BLINN COLLEGE

The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical “Million Dollar Quartet” will recreate rock ‘n’ roll history Thursday, Feb. 8, at the O’Donnell Performing Arts Center at Blinn College.

The show marks the third production in Blinn’s 2017-18 Performing Arts Series.

“Million Dollar Quartet” is inspired by the true story of the famed recording session in 1956 at Sun Records in Memphis that brought together icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins for the first and only time.

The musical, written by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott, brings the legendary night to life with tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayals, and celebrations featuring a slew of timeless hits.

For more information on the show itself, visit the show’s website at www.MillionDollarQuartet.net.

Individual tickets are $30.  Discounts are available for children ages 10 and under: $15, and groups of 10 or more: $26.  Blinn employees can purchase tickets for $20 and Blinn student rush tickets are $10.

Prior to the concert, Blinn will host a 6 p.m. reception in the MRW Studio Theatre.  Single reception tickets will be available up to five days prior to the event for $20.
