BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES TUESDAY

A Brenham man is in custody after his arrest drug charges.

Tuesday morning, the Brenham Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Old Chappell Hill Road.

The Crime Reduction Unit had been investigating 29-year old Ernest James Dever, Jr. of Brenham, during the last few months for distribution of crack cocaine.

During the execution of the search warrant, officers located over 40 grams of crack cocaine and a large amount of tablets believed to be ecstasy.

There was also a pistol that had been tampered with, a set of scales, and over $3600.00 in cash.

Dever, who was currently on parole, was taken into custody and is in the Washington County Jail on two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and 2 counts of Abandoning/Endangering a Child.

  1. That’s a good person there. I kno this man personally his a child of god that is lost no one would extend a helping hand to bring him out of that world control by demons. Instead they set up surveillance to catch him and put him in jail for a long time. To the laws it’s a win but really a lost of someone they could of help to change. Yes ppl can change as I once dance wit d devil by the moonlight,so forgive its the first step have. God have mercy on us. That man blood was in our hands and as a society we failed him!!
    God be wit this man we’re ever he goes send your angels and protect him. I try to help him but the laws kept putting him in jail before I could get to talk to him more. No matter wat he has done we should forgive as good ppl at least. God bless everyone going or involve with this.
