The City of Brenham has hired a new Animal Services Manager.  Allison Harper began work today (Monday) at the Pet Adoption Center in Brenham.  Harper was the Animal Services Supervisor for the City of Allen, north of Dallas for the past four years.  She also served three years as an Animal Control Officer for the City of Cedar Park.  The City Brenham plans a complete press release on Allen's hiring later this week.  She is also scheduled to be introduced to the City Council during their meeting Thursday.

Interviews for the position began in January of this year.  The city contracted with Animal Shelter Services to look at the city’s animal shelter and adoption center operations after objections were raised at city council over practices at the center.

    1. I hope she has respect and love for the animals for which she is responsible. She also
      needs to be on good terms with the rescue groups and will work with them for the
      benefit and welfare of the animals. There are NO BAD ANIMALS…only BAD OWNERS!
