More than 600 employees of LCRA volunteered to work today (Friday) on more than 30 projects from the Hill Country to the Texas Gulf Coast.  In Washington County, volunteers were busy replacing the fence guard on the outfield fence at Linda Anderson Park and painting both the inside and outside of the bathroom there.  LCRA volunteers were also at Lake Somerville, picking up trash along in shoreline.

The projects were all part of LCRA’s “Steps Forward Day”  For the past 4 years, LCRA employees volunteer to spend a day in April working on community projects.  LCRA began its Steps Forward employee volunteer program in 2015 to give back to the communities it serves.  For more information about the program, go to lcra.org/stepsforward.
