BCDC BOARD TO MEET THURSDAY MORNING

  

Brenham’s Hohlt Park may be getting some additional parking in the near future.

On the agenda for Thursday’s meeting of the Brenham Community Development Corporation is parking lot construction for the All Sports Building on the north end of Hohlt Park.  The agenda does not indicate whether the construction is for a new parking lot, or just replacement of a current one.  During periods of heavy use, Hohlt Park is plagued with a lack of parking space.

Also on the agenda for the BCDC, members will discuss and possibly act on improvements at Henderson Park.  They will consider a request from Diversified Land Management on behalf of Seitel Data Limited to conduct a 3-D seismic survey on 44 acres of land in the Southwest Industrial Park.  And they will talk about the final construction options for the detention pond in the Southwest Industrial Park.  Staff members will also give members an update on drainage improvements on the south side of Downtown Brenham, and linear park pedestrian streetscapes downtown.

Thursday’s meeting of the BCDC will be at 7:30 a.m. in the 2nd floor conference room of Brenham City Hall.
