MULTIPLE FIRES IN FAYETTE COUNTY OVER WEEKEND
Several structure fires were reported in Fayette County over the weekend.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the first call was received Friday morning around 3:15 a.m., reporting a mobile home on fire on Plum Church Road. The La Grange Fire Department arrived on scene to find the structure fully engulfed. The LGFD required assistance from the Muldoon Fire Department to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is undetermined.
Sunday afternoon, around 6 p.m., a second call was received, reporting a structure fire on Pettit Lane in the High Hill area. The Schulenburg Fire Department arrived to find the brick home immersed in flames. The SFD, along with the Flatonia Fire Department, successfully extinguished the flames. No injuries have been reported. The fire is believed to have been caused by a riding lawnmower.
