MT. ROSE CELEBRATING 150 YEARS WITH HISTORICAL DISPLAY

  

Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church is making a church history display to celebrate its 150-year history.

Measuring 16 feet wide by eight feet high, the display contains abstracts of the church’s 150-year history.  The history is portrayed in 50-year segments, and the display also contains a section devoted to what the congregation would like to accomplish over the next 50 years.

In honor of those members with long tenures in the church, photographs of those with 30-60 years of continuous membership are presented as a central part of the display.

These members and others will be honored at the Mt. Rose MBC 150th Anniversary Banquet on August 25th at 6 p.m. in the Blinn College Student Center.  Tickets to the banquet are $25 each, or $200 for a table of eight.  The public is invited to attend.  Contact Mt.
