BRYAN’S ST. MICHAEL’S CLOSING MOST OF ITS CAMPUS

A long time Brazos County parochial school is closing much of its campus.

After 45 years, St. Michael's Episcopal School in Bryan, is shutting down its Kindergarten through 8th grade classes.

School Trustees say falling enrollment and financial concerns are the reason they're closing that part of the school.

School officials told KBTX-TV that St. Michael's pre-school programs would be remaining open as their enrollment is increasing.

The school faced closure in 2011 after a budget shortfall of more than half a million dollars, but a restructure of administration, ending the shortfall.
