BRAZOS CO. MAN SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF A CHILD

(Brazos Co. Jail)
A Brazos County man has been convicted on child sexual abuse charges.
70-year-old Roy Fry was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole by a Brazos County jury on Friday, for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child Under the age of 14.
Fry was arrested on April 29, 2016, after a 13-year-old female in his home reported he had been sexually abusing her since she was six years old. The child reported the abuse because her sister had told her that the man had begun grooming the sister in a similar fashion.
Investigation of the man’s house by the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office revealed several notes the man had written to another female in his home, depicting different sex acts he wanted to perform on her and how much he would pay her for those acts. The victim also reported being offered money in exchange for sex acts.
Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child carries a punishment range from 25 years to Life, with no possibility of parole, which is the punishment Fry received.
