DPS TROOPER INJURED IN ACCIDENT IN LEE COUNTY
A DPS trooper was injured in an auto accident Monday morning on Highway 21 in Lee County.
According to DPS, an SUV containing two troopers collided with an 18-wheeler on Highway 21. One of the troopers was taken by helicopter to an area hospital. The other was not injured. It is undetermined how severe the trooper’s injuries are.
Highway 21 was briefly closed Monday while crews investigated. The accident is currently being investigated by the State Crash Reconstruction Team.
