CHARGES FILED IN GRIMES CO. ANIMAL CRUELTY CASE
Grimes County Sheriff's Investigators Office have filed charges against the owner of a home where nearly 300 animals were seized last week.
75-year old Doris Bevier Clark, faces numerous charges of animal cruelty to livestock and non-livestock animals, each of which are Class A misdemeanors.
Authorities seized 242 dogs and 49 miniature ponies from Clark's property, near Roans Prairie, last Tuesday.
Investigators called it the worst case of animal cruelty the county had ever seen.
Back in 2010, Clark had more than 100 horses and 40 dogs voluntarily seized—avoiding charges.
Investigators say charges were delayed after the latest seizure as they waited for documentation on each animal to be provided by the Humane Society of Houston.
Clark has been released after posting $10,000 bond.
This woman needs serious help what a shame must have not had any friends or family so she decided to keep all these animals and unfortunately abused them so sad once again
