WASHINGTON CO. CHAMBER BEGINS “BUY LOCAL” CAMPAIGN FOR HOLIDAY SEASON
The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is reminding shoppers to shop local.
As Black Friday and the holiday season approach, the Chamber is helping its members with promotions, stating most holiday shopping decisions are made by Thanksgiving weekend.
Chamber members will be able to list their retail deals online at www.BrenhamTexas.com, which will be promoted on social media. These “Hot Deals” will also be published as coupons in ChamberWorks newsletters in the Banner-Press—on the second Thursday of October, November and December—at no extra cost to members.
The Chamber stresses that many schools and non-profit organizations depend on contributions of local businesses, which in turn depend on customers shopping locally.
Chamber Business Programs Manager Shae Janner encourages shoppers to keep local businesses in mind when they make plans for holiday shopping.
