HISTORIC JET FINDS NEW HOME AT HENDERSON PARK
A historic fighter jet has successfully landed at Henderson Park.

Crews from the Washington County Veterans Association (WCVA) moved the F-111 Air Force Jet to its permanent display pad at the park this (Friday) morning.
The plane had been sitting in the parking lot since Saturday evening, because of wet ground surrounding the display due to rains.
WCVA President Ben Seeker said all veteran groups in the county have supported this effort, and that all veterans should be proud of the display.
Seeker notes that there is still some minor work to be done on the plane, with painting and details. He also said people are still welcome to contribute donations to the effort.

The plane will have a formal dedication at the park on Veteran’s Day, currently scheduled for 2 p.m. The dedication will be part of their Veteran’s Day program beginning at 11 a.m.
