TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL UNDERWAY IN TODD MISSION

  

Anyone who wants to break away of the stresses of modern life for something simpler should consider the Texas Renaissance Festival.

Being held in Todd Mission until Thanksgiving weekend, the Texas Renaissance Festival features jousting, comedy shows and music, food, and numerous ways for people to experience 16th century culture.

Festival General Manager Terre Albert says there’s nothing else like it.

 

Albert says the Festival opened in 1974 with a small plot of land and a simple vision.  Since then, it has grown into something much bigger.

 

The Festival has numerous themed weekends as it progresses.  This weekend’s theme is Barbarian Invasion, with upcoming weekends featuring Pirate Adventure, Heroes and Villains, and Celtic Christmas.
