KWHI TO HOST ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY

Witches, ghosts and goblins will taking over radio station KWHI and giving away prizes this Halloween night during an “on the radio” Halloween Party.

For more than 50 years KWHI has been hosting its Halloween Party on the radio to encourage safe trick or treating.  This year’s party is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 31st on AM 1280 and the new FM 101.7.  Besides the Grand Prize of a new bicycle from Brenham Tire & Auto, there are dozens of terrific prizes for kids of all ages.  Older kids will enjoy winning a radio controlled rock crawling jeep, an Amazon Echo Dot smart speaker, a radio controlled helicopter drone and i-tune gift cards.  Some of the prizes for younger kids include the Don’t Step in It Game – Unicorn Edition, Grumblies interactive monster dolls, Little Live Scruff-a-Luvs and Wrapples, and a Lego Wonder Woman Dorm!

The bright orange and green Halloween Party entry cards are being passed out in Brenham and Burton schools this week.  Kids should fill them out and return them to KWHI by mail or at our downtown Brenham office before Halloween night.  Each card also contains valuable coupons from Burger King, Horseshoe Junction, Bush’s Chicken and Whataburger.  After trick-or-treating on Halloween night, kids and their parents should tune in to KWHI’s Halloween Party to find out if they’ve won.  Special spooky guest DJ’s will be drawing winners and calling them by phone to award the prizes.

Anyone who doesn’t receive a Halloween Party entry card at school can pick one up at the KWHI business office at 223 East Main Street in downtown Brenham.  A copy of the card, with a full list of prizes and sponsors, is available on our website, www.kwhi.com.
