BRENHAM POLICE SAY MAN STRUCK BY VEHICLE STILL IN CRITICAL CONDITION

  

Brenham police are continuing their investigation of an auto-pedestrian accident Sunday night.

Captain Lloyd Powell says the 18-year-old male from Brenham, who was taken by helicopter to CHI St. Joseph in Bryan after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night, is still in critical condition there.

Police say he was walking along the roadway in the 1400 block of North Park Street around 8 p.m., near the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, when he was struck by a northbound vehicle.

As investigation is ongoing, police have not released the name of the victim.  They do not suspect foul play in the incident.  Cpt. Powell says the person reported to have struck the victim has been cooperative with authorities.
