BRENHAM TEEN DIES AFTER AUTO/PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT

  

A Brenham teen, stuck by a car Sunday evening, has died.

18-year old Antonio Garcia died Tuesday night at a Bryan hospital.

Garcia was struck by a vehicle shortly before 8:15 p.m., as he was walking along the roadway in the 1400 block of North Park Street, near the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was Life-Flighted to St. Joseph’s Hospital in critical condition with multiple injuries.

Brenham Police say he was pronounced dead shortly after 6:00, Tuesday night.

Captain Lloyd Powell of the Brenham Police Department, says they are continuing their investigation.  Powell says the driver of the vehicle has cooperated fully with authorities.

It is the second auto-pedestrian death in the Brenham city limits in the past month.

  1. Please wear lighter clothes,and walk facing the traffic on the side of road. Drivers please put phone’s down and pay attention more closer,this could be one of your love one’s next who knows.

  2. This is awful ! Second young person pedestrian to be killed in our area ! Please slow down drivers & if your walking PLEASE wear some kind of reflective clothing BE SAFE
