BLUE BELL AQUATIC CENTER HOSTING KIDFISH SATURDAY
The 12th Annual KIDFISH brought fishing and fun to the Blue Bell Aquatic Center Saturday.
The Aquatic Center hosted people of all ages to try their hand at fishing.
Aquatic Supervisor Tammy Jaster says the event helps give people who wouldn’t normally be able to go fishing, the chance to do so.
There were be plenty of other activities offered, aside from fishing. Along with free swimming in the indoor pools, were lessons on casting, tying knots, and how to filet a fish. In addition, first aid lessons and CPR demos were offered.
Guests used the fishing poles provided, or brought their own. Trophies were presented to the top catchers.
The free event was sponsored by Brenham Elks Lodge, Blue Bell Creameries, Kountry Boys Sausage, Tegeler Toyota, Max Donuts, Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, and the City of Brenham.
