DEMOLITION OF CVS BUILDING TOPS OCTOBER BUILDING PERMITS

  

H-E-B has been issued a permit to demolish the old CVS Pharmacy building in Brenham.

Out of 39 permits issued by the city of Brenham in October, H-E-B’s permit totaling $500,000 was the largest.  H-E-B plans to demolish the old CVS building for new parking.

H-E-B opted to not renew the lease for the CVS store in the 2500 block of South Day Street.  As a result, the store closed in early October.

Another notable permit in October was the $170,000 permit given to Seventy5 Wing Company.  The commercial permit is for interior buildouts for a Wingstop restaurant, to be located in the Bluebonnet Shopping Center on Highway 36 South.

11 new residential permits were issued in October, totaling $1,058,700.  So far this year, the city has issued 50 new residence permits, worth $6,499,831.

The 39 permits issued in October totaled $2,123,415.  Last October saw just 21 permits, at $1,861,774.

Through October of 2018, 251 permits have been issued, totaling $31,720,248.  At this point last year, 356 permits had been given out, worth $43,293,699.
