APPLICATIONS FOR ‘HARVEY’ AID BEING ACCEPTED
Today marks the first day homeowners in area counties who suffered damage during Hurricane Harvey can apply for government assistance.
Residents whose homes were damaged or destroyed by Harvey can now apply for the Texas General Land Office’s Homeowner Assistance Program.
The aide covers residents of: Washington, Burleson, Grimes, Fayette, Lee, Milam, Bastrop, Caldwell, Calhoun, Comal, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Jackson, Karnes, Lavaca, Madison, and Victoria Counties.
This program is first-come, first-serve, with a total allocation of just under $1.1 billion. It is the single largest recovery program in Texas history.
