BHA RE-OPENS WAITING LIST FOR HOUSING

  

Brenham Housing Authority has re-opened the waiting lists for for about 300 of its units.

The agency had suspended registration while construction was underway on the Parklane Villas, on Hosea Street, which includes 80 new units.

BHA executive director Ben Menjares says new will be added to their current waiting lists.

Menjares says the agency’s priority was to transfer tenants from units that were going to be demolished into Parklane Villas when they were ready.

He says now they are opening up the waiting list to all applicants.

Menjares says the BHA currently has 184 applications on its waiting list.
