JACK IN THE BOX RENOVATION TOPS NOVEMBER BUILDING PERMITS

  

A $300,000 permit for remodeling of the Brenham Jack in the Box headlined November’s city building permits.

The Jack in the Box renovation was one of 22 permits issued by the city in November, totaling $1,398,841.  The restaurant at 400 Highway 290 West was closed in mid-November, and is being rebuilt and expanded.

Prodel Corporation out of Tomball is performing the construction, which they expect to have completed in less than three months.

The city also issued a $200,000 permit for demolition of the old CVS Pharmacy building, which was torn down last week.  H-E-B intends to use the space at 2500 South Day Street for additional parking.  Work has been contracted out to Allbrite Constructors of Texas.

Four new residence permits were issued in November, totaling $556,464.  So far in 2018, the city has issued 54 new residential permits, worth $7,056,295.

Compared to this November’s 22 permits, last November saw 21, worth more at $2,286,445.

Through November of this year, the city has issued 273 permits, worth $32,919,089.  At this point last year, 377 permits had been given out, totaling $45,580,144.
